Frequently asked questions
The questions our team is asked most often about Pulse Malmö.
- Is Pulse Malmö free to use?
- Yes. Browsing events, places, transport and weather is free. Some listings link out to a third-party ticket seller, and those purchases are handled entirely by that seller.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can browse everything without signing in. An account is only needed if you want your favourites and notification preferences synced across devices.
- Where does the event data come from?
- Events are aggregated from public listings, venue calendars and organisers who submit directly. We refresh the feed continuously, so times and prices can change — always confirm with the organiser before travelling.
- How do notifications work?
- Notifications are opt-in per category. You choose which topics you care about, set quiet hours, and can switch to a single daily digest instead of individual alerts. You can change this at any time in Settings.
- Why does the app ask for my location?
- Location is only used to sort events and places by distance and to centre the map. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly save a location-based favourite. You can deny the permission and still use the whole app.
- How do I delete my account and data?
- Use the data deletion page to send a request from the email address linked to your account. We confirm and remove your data, then email you when it is done.
- Something in the app is wrong or missing.
- Please tell us. Send the event or venue name, what you expected and what you saw. Reports from residents are how the Malmö data set gets better.
- Can I get my event or business listed?
- Yes. Email us with the event details, or a link to the listing, and we will review it. Venues and recurring events can be added as a permanent source.
